MACTI is the 501c3 educational affiliate of the Merit Apprenticeship Alliance, Inc.
The Merit Alliance Construction Training Institute (MACTI) was established to provide industry and apprenticeship related instruction and safety training programs to DOL registered apprentices, journey workers and craft trainees.
MACTI is approved by the New York State Departments of Labor and Education, and the USDOL, as a provider of apprentice classroom instruction. We also offer contractors access to the Merit Training Trust for prevailing wage training contributions. Contact us for more information.

The Alliance & MACTI are accredited by the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER). The NCCER develops standardized construction and maintenance curricula and assessments with portable, nationally recognized, industry driven credentials.
Our relationship with the NCCER is long standing as Alliance President, Penny Hazer has been an NCCER Master Trainer since 1992. The NCCER provides a curricula that requires hands-on training (a philosophy that we strongly support). All instructors have successfully completed the NCCER’s Instructor Certification Training Program (ICTP).
Our instructors are experienced master craftworkers with the industry skills and experience to provide quality training. NCCER modules include a “performance profile” which gives the apprentices the opportunity to apply what they learned in class to hands-on construction tasks. MACTI provides contractors with comprehensive training for their apprentices and trainees based on the NCCER curriculum. We can offer training to NJ or NY based apprenticeship program sponsors in any NCCER trade curricula. We look forward to expanding our programs!
